City of Vancouver staff have done little over the past year to crack down on short-term rentals in multi-unit residential buildings, based on documents obtained in a freedom of information request. Documents show that between Jan. 1, 2016 and the end of November, city staff conducted only three on-site visits at buildings where they suspected units were illegally for rent through sites like Airbnb. Over the same time period, inspectors sent letters to just 10 other property owners ordering them to cease short-term rentals in their units…
