As a bill to fine illegal Airbnb operators landed on Gov. Cuomo’s desk Tuesday, the home-sharing company offered a number of concessions to placate leery New York regulators. Airbnb hosts who live in the five boroughs will only be allowed to list one apartment for rent on the site starting Nov. 1, one of several new policies the company is instituting. Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal, an Airbnb critic and the sponsor of a bill that would impose fines of up to $7,500 to people who advertise illegal units on the site, said she isn’t interested in playing games with “hardworking New York families’ lives. “What Airbnb fails to realize is that one unit of affordable housing lost represents one family who will not be able to find a home in New York, and that is simply unacceptable,” she said. The bill was sent to Cuomo on Tuesday. He has until Oct. 29 to sign or veto the measure….
