Mr. Oskam is Director of the Research Centre at Hotelschool The Hague, one of the leading hospitality and hotel management schools in the world. He and his team focus on bringing insights from academia to industry. Mr Oskam’s focus is on how tourism industry trends, particularly Airbnb, overtourism and the OTAs, will impact the hotel industry, topics which he will discuss at the conference.
Mr Oskam is one of the world’s leading scholars on the short-term rental industry, having published numerous papers on the topic. His first book on the topic, The Future of Airbnb and the ‘Sharing Economy’: The Collaborative Consumption of our Cities was published in 2019.
