Airbnb is a lodging alternative for travelers who are looking for a unique experience at a low price. And for college students, Airbnb offers a very convenient way to travel. But the convenience comes at a price, usually paid by the host and residents who live in popular tourist destinations. Airbnb poses a legitimate threat to the hotel industry, although the company does not operate like a hotel in a legal sense.
