We will be conducting a Human Resources Director meeting on:

Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.

The meeting will be hosted by: The Hilton New York Midtown; 1335 Avenue of the Americas. The room location will be provided at a later date.  

In addition to covering our usual topics, the meeting will be dedicated to the following:

There has been a tremendous increase in discrimination and wage-hour agency and court cases. To address this, we will discuss how your Hotel can best prepare for mediation in federal and state court proceedings, and agency matters such as those before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York City Commission on Human Rights, resulting from claims made by the hotel’s current and/or former employees.  The topics to be covered will include the benefits of mediation, its cost and duration, who should attend the mediation, and how to prepare for it effectively and work with counsel.  As we did with last year’s training on conducting an investigation, SHRM credits will be available.

In order to provide continued guidance to H.R. Directors regarding dealing with business agents, we will have a “fireside chat” with two highly experienced H.R. professionals who will impart their knowledge and experiences.
