Artist Ela Boyd, 36 is calling for more rigorous checks on guests on the home-sharing site and labelled the people who wrecked her home “pigs.” Miss Boyd agreed to rent the north London flat to a young woman who said she would was “going to the Royal Albert Hall” to mark the New Year with her sister. However she received a Facebook message from a neighbour before midnight on December 31 telling her the ground floor flat had been taken over for a wild party. Neighbours saw men with knives and machetes walking around while revellers caused thousands of pounds in damage and stole Miss Boyd’s belongings before police were called to disperse them while she was 5,400 miles away…
