As Broward County battles with Airbnb over millions in uncollected tourist taxes, the husband of Broward’s tourism president took a job for the other side, as an Airbnb lobbyist. Russ Klenet, married to former County Commissioner and now tourism president Stacy Ritter, registered in August to lobby for the accommodation booking company at Fort Lauderdale City Hall, where the city wants to regulate it as a short-term vacation rental. He unregistered a week ago, the day the Sun Sentinel sent emailed inquiries about the potential conflict of interest….
