A 35-year-old Newark man was busted for allegedly burglarizing a Mountain View home he staked out on Airbnb earlier this month in a caper officials say is becoming increasingly common in the Bay Area. David Lefevre booked the apartment on Calderon Avenue in early August through the popular short-term rental site, but abruptly canceled the reservation when it came time for his stay, Mountain View police officials said. So with no renter occupying the apartment, a burglar — later determined to be Lefevre — broke in and plundered the space, police said. Lefevre became a suspect in the burglary when he later allegedly tried to steal the homeowner’s identity….
