Vancouver resident Emily Plommer made a strong case at City Hall on Wednesday about the merits of Airbnb when she said she and her partner relied on the short-term listing service to help them afford a rental home that they could grow into in Strathcona. She said she was on the brink of “moving out of the city because of unaffordability,” and that policy decisions concerning Airbnb would be the deciding factor. But what Plommer did not tell city councillors is that she and her partner have multiple Vancouver listings on Airbnb that collectively offer enough room to house nine people….
