The race for the 41st Senate district in the Hudson Valley is quickly becoming a proxy war for the fight over online rental advertising. After the super PAC funded by online rental giant Airbnb launched a TV ad campaign knocking Republican Sen. Sue Serino’s vote for a law designed to restrict ads for multi-family dwellings in New York City, both the Hotel Trades Council and the Real Estate Board of New York are pushing back with an independent expenditure campaign of their own in the race….
