MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – The controversy over short-term rental regulations in the city of Marquette continued Thursday night. For almost two years, Marquette city officials have been struggling with how to regulate these properties, which follow the popular shared-economy models of Airbnb and Vacation Rental By Owner, or VRBO. “I believe that short-term rentals are part of our community,” Marquette City Manager Mike Angeli said. “I believe the commission feels the same way.
