Due to the popularity of our Labor and Employment Law Department’s first virtual town hall regarding labor and employment issues related to COVID-19, we will be conducting additional sessions via BlueJeans on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 2:00pm and Monday, May 4, 2020 at 10:00am. The agenda will be the same as the first town hall:
 
1.    New York State COVID-19 paid leave law,
2.    Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA),
3.    Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act),
4.    The impact of COVID-19 on paid family leave, New York’s disability leave laws and unemployment benefits,
5.    New York City’s safe and sick time law and COVID-19,
6.    Human Rights Laws related to COVID-19, and
7.    Worker’s Compensation and OSHA laws related to COVID-19.
 
In order to ensure the most efficient use of our time together, please send us a list of questions to either jruocco@kanekessler.com or jtangredi@kanekessler.com no later than Thursday, April 30, 2020 that you have regarding the agenda items. Space is limited so you must rsvp to Cara Brownell at cbrownell@kanekessler.com. The BlueJeans app can be found here and can be accessed either by phone or laptop:  https://www.bluejeans.com/. We will send meeting instructions shortly prior to the start of the meeting. Also, we will be posting a synopsis of the town hall presentation on the HANYC’s website.
