Human Resources Directors Meeting

We will be holding a Human Resources Director meeting on Monday, September 14th at 2:00 p.m. at The New Yorker by Lotte Hotels. The meeting will be held in The Ballroom.

We intend to focus on health and safety issues, and, in particular, the recent legionella outbreak as it affects hotels from a compliance perspective with New York City Local Laws and how the Union has engaged with hotels on this topic. Gallagher Bassett, industrial hygiene and health and safety experts, will make a presentation on this topic and provide their expert insight about the risks and nuances of legionella and when its presence in cooling towers is considered unsafe. In addition, we will report on the new IWA, on recent decisions of the Impartial Chairperson, New York State Paid Family Leave and its interplay with the new IWA, the amendments to the New York City Safe and Sick Leave, and other issues of interest.
