HANYC Foundation Chair Hermann Elger and President Vijay Dandapani initiated the Foundations COVID-19 outreach efforts with a donation of 5000 N95 masks to Mount Sinai Hospital on April 1, 2020. This delivery was made possible by a generous donation to the Foundation by the Baccarat New York’s ownership group, Sunshine Insurance. The masks were personally handed over to Mount Sinai’s 101st street COVID-19 donation center by Mr. Elger, Mr. Dandapani and Mr. Sun.
The HANYC Foundation’s COVID-19 outreach effort is committed to bringing together the 300 New York City member hotels to coordinate donations from the hotel industry, its partners and and suppliers, to assist medical response and first responders working so diligently through this unprecedented crisis.
